If you want work returned, include SASE with correct postage.
- poetry
- flash fictions (500 words or less)
- black and white comics/graphic narratives (4 pgs. max)
- playlets (excerpts acceptable - 1500 words or less)
- mini reviews (react to anything in the creative realm- 500 words or less)
- illustration (black/white or 2 color)

No multiple genre submissions (poetry and flash fiction/ flash fiction and a playlet, etc.),
though you can send up to 5 of any one genre.
We WILL NOT consider more than 5 pieces of work at a time.
DO NOT send us more than one batch of submissions at a time. We will simply ignore submission attempts if you have other work being considered by us simultaneously.

We`do not reprint previously published work
or work that is concurrently available online.
EXPECT TURNAROUND TIME TO BE 1-4 MONTHS.
BUT PLEASE BE PATIENT, WE HAVE OTHER THINGS TO DO.
BATEAU IS PUBLISHED BI-ANNUALLY.
We recommend ordering a copy to better understand our aesthetics.
It will save you and us a lot of time and resources.
